Virginia Cyber Navigator Internship Program

INTERNSHIP APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Information about the position:

Interns will provide cybersecurity support services to local election offices in Virginia. The internship will include a 2-day kickoff meeting and 10 weeks of hybrid in-person and remote activities.

It is expected that students will be able to work remotely, however we do expect the student to have occasional face-to-face meetings with their assigned locality supervisor. Students will also be assigned mentors to facilitate the experiential learning experience.

Requirements:

• Completed Introduction to Cybersecurity with a grade of B- or better.
• Legally able to work for the University (U.S. citizenship not required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
